FUNCTIONAL FITNESS FOR LIFE
It’s Time to Feel Great in Your Body
Hi, I’m Jennifer.
Over the course of our lives, our bodies go through many changes, but none of these changes require us to give up on moving and staying fit. No matter where you are on the spectrum of life, achieving, maintaining, and improving functional strength, flexibility, and endurance will help you feel good.
I started a regular exercise habit at the age of 40. During menopause, things got a little wonky (unexplained weight gain, sleeplessness, the sweats, you name it), and I wanted to give up on exercising. Fortunately, something told me to keep going even if I needed to slow down and take things a bit easier. I’m glad I did.
By my early 50s my body shifted again — this time for the better. To my surprise, my fitness level started to return. Today, I run, hike, bike, swim, and play tennis, while also incorporating strength and flexibility exercises into my workouts. My goal is to retain a level of functional fitness so that I can keep doing what I love for as long as possible and age healthfully.
After experiencing the shift, I decided to become a personal trainer at 53 because I wanted to encourage women of all ages to embrace their bodies and never give up on fitness. Whether you are just starting your fitness journey, returning to it after illness or injury, seeking accountability as you level up, or training for an event, I would love to work with you.
I offer in-home personal training for women who wish to work out 1 on 1, in pairs, and in small groups. Reach out at jenniferfriedlin@gmail.com to set a time to discuss your fitness goals and priorities. It’s never too late to get fit.
